Dark fire cast,

Flame of burning blast-furnace of my hearts core.

Where there should be light shadows reign!

I feel rage, in that moment I am alive.

Flames fueled, not by hate – no love sets this pyre aflame.

What can I do to still it? Do I wish to extinguish this blaze?

No the conflagration drives me on!!!

Dark fire cast on my soul,

A shadow reigns over its light!

New SS Botany Bay Poster

A new SS Botany Bay poster is being produced by Bye Bye Robot, because you know, there isn’t any reason to ramp up tie-in material with Khan Noonien Singh or anything… ;)

Mind you, I pointed out the villain would likely be Khan when IDW Publishing, almost a year ago did a whole “Ruling in hell” storyline tackling Khan’s exile on Ceti Alpha V – And was blasted by some Trekkies for suggesting it. I mean, its not like Paramount didn’t commission a Khan Noonien Singh plushy to go along with it or any thing. Which to me screamed “These here comics are supposed to be collectable and presage something big…”

But you know… It’s not as if this whole storytelling and marketing thing means anything to me – I just write pulp science fiction and sometimes porn for a living…

Star Trek Villian Poster…

OK, I’m having a hard time thinking its Gary Mitchell, only because, as I think I pointed out before, they already used Gary Mitchell in a comic book that takes place in the new time line, and he didn’t look a thing like  Benedict Cumberbatch. Also said comic book was overseen by the people working on this movie… Oddly at the moment I’m leaning toward The Squire of Gothos, Trelane. He’s the only Star Trek villain who could single handily (Like I said aside from Gary Mitchell… ) wreck planets if he wanted, and he has a penchant for uniforms – Much like his assumed relative Q

The writers did say it would be a rebooted version of a villain we know. I can see re-imagining Trelane as a  planet killing sort of upstart god. That might work.

Just bring on the trailer already!!!!

Neo-human…

November 9, 2012 3 comments

As many of you are aware, I’ve been rewriting/editing book two of what had been The Falcanian Legacy Series. In that process I began to reconsider the layout of my series, and what it was all about. Book two’s rewrite also made it clear I needed to go back into book 1 and make it more continues with the explanations I was providing for the Morningstars in the now retitled book 2 Among Bright Stars…

The series has been renamed Neo-human, given my revelation that the universe I created is not just about Falcanians, but in a large part, the Morningstars, who are to become the human species inheritors.

Book 1 has also been retitled to its original title of Starblade, no more colons, each book will have a title all to itself. Reason number one for this is it means I won’t be filling the cover full of words or at least only the words that need to be there.

Titles are as follows, subject to change.

1. Starblade
2. Among Bright Stars…
3. Stormangel
4. A Flag Full of Stars
5. Unification
6. Apotheosis

The relaunched series begins with Starblade, out now, and for a limited time, only 99 cents.
