JJ Abrams To Direct New Star Wars Movie For Disney…
Because JJ Abrams needs to RULE all your Geek-bases!
Star Trek director J.J. Abrams will be helming the next Star Wars movie. “It’s done deal with J.J.,” a source with knowledge of the situation told Deadline today. Argo director Ben Affleck was also up for the gig, the source says. Abrams was courted heavily by producer Kathleen Kennedy to take the Star Wars job.
Abrams gets be on both sides of the great nerd question: Which is better, Star Trek or Star Wars?

Nah, it’ll be directed by a clone. Of Abrams. I can’t imagine otherwise how a lot of people in Hollywood don’t kill themselves through overwork.

Don’t say clone – People are already saying “John Harrison” must be a clone of Robert April… which would evoke memories of Nemesis in too many ways. There’s be clones of a sort probably, but not of the duplicate fashion.
I just wonder how he’ll keep the lines from blurring in his brain? People (angry fans… ) already scream Abrams is turning Trek into Star Wars. I wonder if the flip side of that will take place?
LOL in turn… Well, JJ or one of his helpers did say, “What can we learn from SW?” (See one of the ST:REBOOT DVD special features.) I wouldn’t be surprised at your dual scenario one little bit. The difference is I have more important things to get angry about… Bill Shatner would never say of me, “This guy needs to get a life.”

Me I only care that its somewhat entertaining, like much more layered than the last three movies, which I think Abrams can figure out – At least per his performance on Trek thus far.
